This station was opened by Percy C. Simmons Esq., Chairman of the Fire Brigade Committee of the London County Council, on the 10th day of April 1914.

In our photo you can just about make out the plaque above the Wagamama delivery bike.

A 3-part frieze above the windows reads: "London County Council / Fire Brigade Station / Hammersmith AD 1913".
