Plaque

Haydon & Rossi

Inscription

London County Council
Benjamin Haydon, 1786 - 1846, painter and Charles Rossi, 1762 - 1839, sculptor lived here.

Site: Haydon & Rossi (1 memorial)

NW1, Lisson Grove, 116

The plaque is actually around the corner in Rossmore Road, on a house with a front door numbered 1a. We think the house has been "turned", meaning that the original entrance door would have been on the Lisson Grove frontage, and involved a gate and a garden path where the shop now is, just out our picture to the right.
