Monument

Helena Fedorowicz

Inscription

In memory of Helena Fedorowicz (1926 - 1993) who fought for her family, the Woodstock Road Association and the Polish people.
May her spirit never die.

This was originally a well-designed and substantial monument. Both sides of the base are convex and have a photo, November 2007, showing that base supported a lion. The lion is lying down with head raised (couchant rather than sejant or dormant, to use heraldry terms). Another photo shows that the lion had gone by April 2009 presumably vandalised or stolen.
