Fountain

Henry E Goodison

Inscription

{On the horizontal surface of the stone on which the urn is placed:}
This fountain erected in 1929 to the memory of Henry Edmund Goodison of Highgate
honorary treasurer of the Kenwood Preservation Council was presented by his wife and sons.
{On the urn, to the left of the pool a water-damaged inscription:}
H. Tyson Smith
Sculpt. Live(?) 1929 (?)

The decoration on the urn is delightful. Strung between 4 classical style masks are fruit garlands supporting a variety of creatures: squirrel, hedgehog, owl, snake, weasel and mouse.
