Highams Park Signal Box
Locally listed building erected in 1925 by the London & North Eastern Railway Company and one of the few that survive on the Chingford line today. Saved from demolition in 2002, it is now leased to Highams Park Signal Box Association.
Waltham Forest Heritage

Site: Highams Park signal box (1 memorial)

E4, Hale End Road, 511

The signal box is now, 2022, home to La Boîte, a crêperie.

The story of this signal box is well told at , where we learnt that, despite the text on the plaque, the Association never signed a lease, and acted more as a broker between Network Rail and a potential occupant. The Association seems to have no presence on the web, possibly because its job is done.
