Planted in memory of the victims of Hiroshima by The Worshipful Mayor of Camden Councillor Mrs Millie Miller J.P., 6th August 1967.

Since 1950 CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) has organised an annual ceremony at this cherry tree, in August.
