This station was opened on the 22nd day of October 1908 by S. J. G. Hoare Esq. JP, Chairman of the Fire Brigade Committee of the London County Council.

This 1908 building replaced the previous station, built in 1871. The ground floor exterior walls are faced with glazed red tiles. Above the two large entrances where the fire engines would have stood, are green glazed panels with white lettering: "L.C.C. Holloway", "Fire Brigade Station".
In 1975 this station closed and services were provided by the newly built Fire Station in Hornsey Road which, it has to be said, is just plain ugly compared to this. In 2012 the building is used by the Holloway Neighbourhood Group as the Community ICT Centre.
