Hugh John Moore - plaque

Erection date: 27/9/2021

Inscription

{Between the badges of the City of London Police and the Police Memorial Trust:}
Here fell Commander Hugh John Moore QPM, 19th November 1993.
City of London Police
Police Memorial Trust

Commander Moore was attacked at this spot, but actually died later in a hospital in Bushey.

QPM is the Queen's Police Medal. This is the first police memorial to be unveiled to a member of the City of London Police Force.

Site: Hugh John Moore - plaque (1 memorial)

EC2, Poultry, 37

Curiously, the shows the plaque being unveiled on an easel at the Grocers' Hall and also at the Poultry site, both on the same day. Presumably the first was a duplicate.
