Site: Ignatius Sancho - SE3 & Montague House (2 memorials)

SE3, Charlton Way, Greenwich Park

The Sancho plaque is to the right, Montague House (often spelt Montagu House) to the left. The sunken bath supposedly used by Queen Caroline is surrounded by a hedge which makes it difficult to see, but at least it is no longer "beneath the paving".

In June 2023 announced that "Councillor Dominic Mbang, Mayor of Greenwich, will unveil the new sculpture of Ignatius Sancho, in colour, on the wall of Greenwich Park on the morning of July 1." The location (this section of wall) and the design had previously been shared at . However, on our visit in September 2024, no such sculpture was to be seen.
