W1, Queen Anne Street, 23

This building was purpose-built as offices for The Howard de Walden Estate in 1937 by the architects Messrs Joseph. has researched this plaque and discovered that the building "replaced an older Estate office building on the same site and as photographs of the earlier building show an older plaque commemorating JMW Turner on its facade it seems likely that the new one would have been made soon after the opening of this new office."
