Jack (Kid) Berg, 1909 - 1991, the 'Whitechapel Windmill', was born in a house near this spot. World Junior Welterwight Champion 1930.
British Lightweight Champion 1934.

First a plaque was erected on Noble Court, then in 2012 Burlington Court was built in front of Noble Court so a new plaque had to be erected. The new plaque is identical apart from a slightly different motif.
