Jane stayed here with her brother, Henry, and while in London visited the exhibition of Sir Joshua Reynolds' paintings at the British Institute in Pall Mall, a block-buster of its day.  She wrote about it in a letter to her sister Cassandra and now Austen expert Janine Barchas has reconstructed the exhibition at .
