Plaque

Jim's Pitch

Erection date: 2000

Inscription

Jim's Pitch. In memory of Jim McFarland's outstanding commitment to the Russell Nurseries Estate. 2000

Site: Jim's Pitch (1 memorial)

NW3, Woodland Walk

Appropriately a number of the nearby buildings have notices instructing "no ball games".

2023: We were contacted by Jim's daughter, Rachelle Mcfarland, who has kindly provided information about her father for his page. She also wrote: "The old plaque was faded and worn after years, so we decided to replace it with something my Dad would have liked, something colourful and vibrant just like he was. Jim's Pitch is enjoyed by people from all over the borough, but especially his grandchildren and we hope it will continue to be enjoyed for more generations to come!"

The new plaque is expected to be installed in April 2023.
