Kate Greenaway - NW3

Erection date: 1949

Inscription

Kate Greenaway, 1846 - 1901, artist, lived & died here.
L.C.C. 1949

This charming and unusual plaque, placed uncommonly low on the house and doing its best to hide amongst the roses, is not as well-known as it deserves.

Site: Kate Greenaway - NW3 (1 memorial)

NW3, Frognal, 39

This house was designed by Richard Norman Shaw in 1885 for Greenaway. We passed this house again in 2017 and saw that the "No.39 Frognal"signs had been replaced with some more ornate blue signs "Greenaway House".
