Site: Liberal Party (1 memorial)

SW1, King Street, Almack House

On this site was a social club which operated 1765 - 1871 as and was then renamed as Willis's Rooms. talks of "a brass plaque commemorating the existence of Almack's" on this spot but, 2015: we can't see it and the doorman we asked knows nothing about it.

The building suffered badly in WW2: damaged in 1940 and destroyed in 1944.
