Loriners' Hall

Inscription

Near this place stood Loriners' Hall, 1711 - 1759.
The Corporation of the City of London

{The hyphen in the dates is shown as a horse bridle.}

We were curious as to why this Corporation of the City of London plaque differs so much from their usual blue and gold design. We contacted them, and they replied saying they were unaware of its existence, and assume that it was erected privately. All rather odd.
