Every so often we find ourselves taking photos in what at the time feels like one of the most horrible parts of London we have found - this was one such time. The photo was captured during one of the brief interludes between continuous streams of noisy, polluting traffic.

The plaque is not clear about what was constructed. The piers look original so we guess it was just the gates themselves.
