(lost) Marchioness at National Theatre

Inscription

Site: Marchioness at National Theatre (1 memorial)

SE1, Queen's Walk

We have found three (identical) plaques on the South Bank riverside recalling this disaster, as follows: Royal Festival Hall; National Theatre - this one, London Eye. All three are attached to the tops of the wooden housing for emergency lifebelts.

Looking on Google Street View showed the 3 wooden housings still in place but all the tops had gone.  We then visited the site of the plaque at the National Theatre and saw that the entire wooden housing along with the lifebelt had gone. We've marked all three plaques as lost and thank Richard for the information.  He's a historian - check out his .
