In remembrance of all those who drowned when the motor vessel Marchioness was struck near Southwark Bridge on Sunday 20 August 1989.
Many waters cannot quench love.

The quotation is from the Song of Solomon 8:7
"Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it".
