Plaque

Royal Gates - Victoria Park

Erection date: 20/4/1990

Inscription

This stone was laid by Councillor Mrs Patricia Catchpole Vice Chair of the Bow Parks Board to commemorate the construction of the Royal Gates, 20th April 1990.
Architect: Derek Lovejoy Partnership
Contractor: Mulalley & Co Ltd
Metalwork: The Cast Iron Co.

The plaque is not clear about what was constructed. The piers look original so we guess it was just the gates themselves.
