Tower Hill Terrace, 1864 - 1991

The site was originally known as St Katherine's Rents, bestowed in 1370 upon the Royal Hospital at St Katherine's by the Tower. The building was re-opened after refurbishment in September 1991 by Sir Alexander Graham GBE, DCL, Lord Mayor of London.

This large plaque is laid into the ground in the middle of the shopping centre.

Site: Mazawattee Tea Warehouse (1 memorial)

EC3, Tower Hill Terrace, Tower Vaults

You would have to be having a very sorry time as a tourist to find yourself in this shopping centre. Below ground with no natural light, the shops have been Dickensianised and have names like 'Tower Gifts', 'Memories of Royal London', 'Tower Hill Diner', etc.
