Plaque

Michele Latour

Inscription

In loving memory of Michele Latour, sadly taken from us, November 1957 - October 1981. R.I.P.

Site: Michele Latour (1 memorial)

N7, Manor Gardens, Royal Northern Gardens

Initially the only information we had about this poignant memorial came from (2017 'page not found') where we learnt that the body of Michele Latour was found when the site was being cleared, prior to its redevelopment. And that the stones in this rockery were donated by St. Pancras & Islington Cemetery. inform that Michele was a woman.

Difficult to take a photo that gives information about where this rockery is. It's in the north-west corner of the park - the photographer's back was up against a pedestrian gate.

2018: Immediately we published this memorial both Andrew Behan and Michael John contacted us with further information. The reports the finding of the body and reports on the sentencing of the murderer. We have summarised the sad story on Michele Latour's page. Note: someone with sensitivity made the decision that the plaque should use Michele's maiden name.
