Site: Mole Man of Hackney (1 memorial)

N1, Mortimer Street, 121

Photos taken in early summer 2010. The plaque is unlikely to remain in situ as the house is in danger of collapsing, owing to Mr Lyttle’s excavations.

2014: The house looks no better.

2021: The house survived, in a simplified form; the top floor and roof were removed.

We think this may have been the sign giving the name of a ward at the hospital. It would fit in a fan-light above a door very nicely.
