This building was opened by Her Majesty the Queen, 25 June 1998.

This inscription is opposite the entrance, below the Shakespeare statue.

All the sculptures are inside the main building, mainly in or around the entrance foyer. The Wilson bust is in the south-east corner of the main foyer.

See Father Jellicoe for the Gilbert Bayes finials, some of which are/were on display in the BL lower level.

A plaque near the 4 busts in their brick roundels describes them as "the founders".
