Plaque

Pierre Rouve

Erection date: 27/3/2015

Inscription

{On either side of a representation of a bird:}
Pierre Rouve
Bulgarian diplomat & man of letters lived and worked here 1978 - 1998.

{The same inscription in Bulgarian.}

We contacted a colleague who speaks Bulgarian, and she confirms that the right hand inscription means the same as the English. Amazingly however, she told us that she was at school with Rouve's widow and is still in touch with her. We have met with her and spent a very pleasant evening listening to her memories of him.
