To celebrate the pioneering work of Pimlico District Heating Undertaking and a greener future for the community, this plaque was unveiled by Councillor Angela Harvey, Cabinet Member for Housing, 29 November 2007.

SW1, Churchill Gardens Road

This strange structure is an accumulator, basically a huge hot water tank, like you may have in your house somewhere in a nice warm cupboard, but massive. It supplies heat to the properties on this estate.

The plaque can just be seen in our photo, facing the road.
