Pimlico District Heating Undertaking refurbished

Erection date: 29/11/2007

Inscription

To celebrate the pioneering work of Pimlico District Heating Undertaking and a greener future for the community, this plaque was unveiled by Councillor Angela Harvey, Cabinet Member for Housing, 29 November 2007.

Site: Pimlico District Heating Undertaking refurbished (1 memorial)

SW1, Churchill Gardens Road

This strange structure is an accumulator, basically a huge hot water tank, like you may have in your house somewhere in a nice warm cupboard, but massive. It supplies heat to the properties on this estate.

The plaque can just be seen in our photo, facing the road.
