Plaque

(lost) Ping pong

Inscription

On this very site Ping Pong created & patented by John Jaques III, 1901.

Site: Ping pong (1 memorial)

EC1, Holborn, 121, Bounce

The plaque can just be seen in our photo, above the word 'Bounce'. Our photos were taken at what is believed to be the world's first .

The plaque seems to claim that there was a Jacque business on "this very site".  The magnificent shows two addresses associated with the Jacques family and business: 65 Leather Lane (manufacture) and 102 Hatton Garden (wholesale and export).

2026: Andrew Ruppenstein from the informed us that the plaque was no longer in situ so we have marked it 'lost'.
