This is a loosely-worded plaque. We don't think it really means ALL the men lost in both World Wars, just those that worked at the Brewery.
The flower on the plaque looks to us like a chrysanthemum but we don't know if it has any special significance.
According to ‘The Streets of West Hampstead' (1992 Camden Historical Society), Sokolow called this house Hazephirah.
The BBC (who else?) have a good post about their time here. Pity this plaque had no room to mention John Logie Baird.
The plaque is on the low, angled, wall - angled upwards to catch the rain, hence its poor condition.
