Plaque

Sir Roy Watts

Inscription

In loving memory of Sir Roy Watts Kt, Chairman of Thames Water 1983-1993 and a Freeman of the City of London, who tragically drowned near this spot on 27th April 1993.
1925-1993

A very sad plaque. Watts's home was somewhere in this area but his body was actually found near Westminster Bridge. We don't know on what basis the plaque assumes the drowning took place near this spot.
