Site: Sisterhood of the Holy Cross (1 memorial)

NW1, Park Village West, 17

In our photo the blue plaque can just about be made out through the foliage, on the porch wall facing the camera. No.17 was and the agents published a number of photos of the interior.

Park Village East and West were designed by John Nash in the 1820s as part of the overall Regent's Park scheme.  Following his death in 1834 his apprentice James Pennethorne finished the project. The East Village used to extend further east but the London and Birmingham railway needed a route into Euston. and now, 2021, many of the East Village houses are enduring the development of HS2 just yards away.
