Spurstowe Almshouses - new plaque

Inscription

Almshouses were originally built on this site in 1666 by Dr William Spurstowe and rebuilt in 1819.

Site: Spurstowe Almshouses - new plaque (1 memorial)

E8, Sylvester Path, 5

We think the old brick wall that can be seen in our photo at the top right is probably the same wall that can be seen, top right, in the screen shot from Orson Welles' film in which he interviews residents of the almshouses.
