St Bride Foundation Institute
The memorial stone of the St Bride Foundation Institute was laid in 1893 by HRH The Prince of Wales and the Institute opened in 1894 as a cultural and educational centre for the City of London.
It stands on the site of the Bridewell Palace of King Henry VIII and is the home of the internationally known St Bride Printing Library and the Bridewell Theatre.
