Plaque

St Katherine Coleman

Inscription

Site of St. Katherine Coleman demolished 1926.
Corporation of the City of London

Site: St Katherine Coleman (1 memorial)

EC3, St Katherine's Row

The plaque is in a very narrow section of the passageway, to the right of our picture.  The churchyard's 18th century railings and stone gate piers survive. The churchyard was re-landscaped in 2000 as part of the development of the Richard Rogers building behind and is now a small public garden owned by Lloyd's Register of Shipping.

The sculpture you can see in the picture is actually a fountain, , with the water running, almost clinging, to the outer surface.  The inspiration for its shapre is clear.
