Stephen Maynard - red plaque

Erection date: 9/5/2019

Inscription

Honouring the bravery and sacrifice of Stephen Maynard of Poplar Fire Station who gave his life in the line of duty in Limehouse Basin, London. 25 January 1980.

Site: Stephen Maynard, fireman + Limehouse basin model (3 memorials)

E14, Limehouse Dock quayside, Harbour Masters Office

This Harbour Masters Office has a rather nice 6-sided pagoda-like from. The model of the basin is on the mini-me brick pedestal. It doesn't have a roof - that is just an unfortunate photographic alignment of a porch on the other side of the water.

Surrey Commercial Docks has a similar model.
