It's rare for a plaque to specify the time at which it was unveiled - we count ourselves fortunate if we get the year.
Strangely, there are two identical blue plaques, either side of the entrance.
The plaque has mis-named the painting; it's actually 'Hampstead Heath, with the House Called ‘The Salt Box’'. The 1999 book 'Discovering...
Presumably, 'Nev' is someone's name, but we can't find any connection.
The plaque adds an extra 'n' to his first name, although several biographies refer to him as John.
