Toilet opened - Aldgate

Erection date: 7/4/1986

Inscription

This toilet was officially opened by Deputy Mrs Iris Samuel on 7 April 1986.
Corporation of London

Either this plaque is a joke or there is something special about the toilet. Perhaps this was the first of this style of toilet in the City? Plaque composers really need to think more about how posterity will receive their words.

Site: Toilet opened - Aldgate (1 memorial)

EC3, Aldgate High Street

  - but we doubt any of them boast a plaque.

A grim corner of London - it's going to take more than some giant orange flower pots to make it attractive.
