E17, Hoe Street, Central Parade

This replacement development consists of: a new parade of shops, flats, a public hall, civic offices and a clock tower, but was not finished until 1964. The wavy canopy and all the Festival-of-Britain era decorative elements are largely intact. We do hope Walthamstowians are looking after it.
