The plaque was stolen some years ago. In 1994 (300th birthday) the Voltaire Foundation got it put back.

The building is inscribed with the name "Vaudeville Theatre".  It is now, 2013, used by the Hungarian Cultural Centre.

Plaque unveiled by David Suchet and Loyd Grossman (then chairman of the blue plaques panel).
'The Uncommerical Traveller' was the name of articles that Dickens wrote for his own journal 'All the Year Round'.
At British History On-line we read that it closed in 1923, not 1915 as per the plaque.

The numbers at the right hand edge of the plaque seem to be graffiti.
