Marking the service of units of the British army based in the Borough of Wandsworth and the former Borough of Battersea 1914 - 1945 including:

The Surrey Yeomanry
1/23rd, 2/23rd and 3/23rd (County of London) Bns. The London Regiment
13th and 14th (Wandsworth) Bns. East Surrey Regiment
10th (Battersea) Bn. Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment
The Home Guard (County of London)
42nd and 48th Royal Tank Regiment

This tablet was inaugurated by Wandsworth Borough Council 1st February 2008.

SW18, Fairfield Street, front garden

This fountain is at the west end of the garden in front of the Town Hall, on Fairfield Street. It is surrounded by memorials as follows: to the south - Wandsworth Regulars; to the east - Wandsworth Army Units: since 1945; to the north – Wandsworth VCs and GCs; to the west - Wandsworth Army Units: 1914 -1945. The time capsule plaque is laid into the terrace between the fountain and the building.
