Marking the service of units of the British army based in the Borough of Wandsworth and the former Borough of Battersea since 1945 including:
4th, 6th and 6th/7th (Volunteer) BNS. The Queen's Regiment
5th (Volunteer) BSN. The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
8th (Volunteer)  BN. The Queen's Fusiliers
The London Regiment
31 (City of London) Signal Regiment (Volunteers)
63 (Special Air Service) Signal Squadron (R)

This tablet was inaugurated by Wandsworth Borough Council, 1st February 2008

Site: Wandsworth Town Hall (3 memorials)

SW18, Fairfield Street, front garden

This fountain is at the west end of the garden in front of the Town Hall, on Fairfield Street. It is surrounded by memorials as follows: to the south - Wandsworth Regulars; to the east - Wandsworth Army Units: since 1945; to the north – Wandsworth VCs and GCs; to the west - Wandsworth Army Units: 1914 -1945. The time capsule plaque is laid into the terrace between the fountain and the building.
