William Blake was born on 23rd November 1757 in a house which stood on this site.

The foundation stones are listed here left to right. They were laid in October 1889 and the building opened in April the following year....
Bill Brandt, 1904 - 1983, photogapher lived here. English Heritage
Wikipedia gives the architects as "Davis and Emanuel Pevsner". We believe the "Pevsner" to be an error, that has been widely copied.
Photographed in 2020 this plaque, to an event over 20 years ago, is clearly being looked after.
