Plaque

William Thackeray - Young Street, W8

Erection date: 1905

Inscription

W.M. Thackeray 1811 - 1863, novelist lived here.
LCC

There is apparently another plaque to him nearby at 2 Palace Green, a house he had built for himself. This is now the Israeli Embassy, and as it is guarded by armed police and has 'no photography' signs outside, it is not one we are planning to include in the foreseeable future.
