Hackney Council has commissioned these artworks as a permanent symbol of honour, respect and commitment to the Windrush Generations, their legacy and contribution to life in Hackney today.

Curated and produced by Create London. Commission made possible with Art Fund support.

The plaque is laid into the paving to the east of the fruit. Reading our photo left to right: Soursop, Custard Apple, 
Breadfruit.

The reported that this is the first permanent artwork to honour the Windrush generation in the UK.
