From : "Nos. 14-16 Platt’s Lane are a pair of semi-detached cottages from 1875 built in conjunction with the reservoir at the rear – the former West Middlesex Waterworks." and, talking about Kidderpore Avenue, "At the rear (north) is the covered reservoir and the West Heath Lawn Tennis Club. The tennis club features on the Council’s Local List, which notes that it opened in 1902 on the site of the former West Middlesex Water Works covered reservoir and offers low-cost membership as well as providing a social meeting place."
Access to the tennis club is from the eastern side of the large site, not from Platt's Lane.

describes the Kidderpore Service Reservoir built in 1867 and still functioning. In 1866 the West Middlesex Water Company obtained powers to serve parts of Hampstead so built the reservoir and water works alongside. The reservoir has always been roofed but in 2013 it was drained and the roof removed to allow the structure to be scrutinised. A concrete roof was installed and the reservoir went back to work. That book has a striking photo of the brick arch-work in the empty reservoir.
