6th Inniskilling Dragoons

Cavalry regiment in the British army. it was one of three regiments raised during the defence of Enniskillen in 1689. The name Inniskilling was used as it was the original name of the town. They served most famously in the battles of the Boyne, Waterloo and Balaklava. After World War I, it became apparent that technology had superseded the need for horse cavalry and the regiment was disbanded as part of the Geddes Reforms.
