Alwin Martin Tamosius was born in February 1951 in the United States of America and qualified as an attorney in Illinois.

In 1986 he married Sarah J. Winn in the Epping Forest registration district. Their son, Alexander Martin Tamosius, was born in 1988 and his birth was registered in the Westminster registration district.
