Nonconformist minister. Born Wales. Began his education for ministry in Wellclose Square in 1759. Worked at a number of London congregations until 1783 when he settled at the Old Jewry Meeting-house where he remained for the rest of his life. Edited Rees's Cyclopædia, 1778 - 1820. Died at home in Artillery Place, Finsbury. Buried in Bunhill burial ground.
