Albert Victor Forder was born on 29 November 1914, the fourth of the six children of Frederick James Forder (1868-1936) and Eleanor Forder née Bellingham (1889-1962). His birth was registered in the 1st quarter of 1915 in the Sevenoaks registration district, Kent. He was baptised on 4 April 1915 in St Mary's Church, High Street, Kemsing, Sevenoaks, Kent.
His siblings were: Alice Mary Forder (1909-1964); Amy Freda Forder (1910-1989); Frederick John Forder (1912-1987); George Richard Forder (1917-1991) and Charles William Forder (1919-1999).
He married Florence Agnes Stadelman (b.1917) in the 1st quarter of 1937 in the Sevenoaks registration district and they had one child, Ronald Frederick Forder (1938-2014).
In the 1939 England and Wales Register he and his family were shown as living at Hilda Crest, Noah's Ark, Kemsing, Sevenoaks, Kent and his occupation was recorded as a bricklayer.
Probate records show that his address had been 1 Coomber Cottages, Noahs Ark, Kemsing, Kent and that died 14 March 1942 in the , Greenwich High Road, London, SE10. Probate was granted to his widow on 9 March 1942 and his effects totalled £200.
He is shown as Forder A V on the Royal Victoria Yard war memorial located at The Colonnade, Grove Street, London, SE8, that states he died as a result of enemy action at the Royal Victoria Yard. However, his name does not appear on the Civilian War Dead Roll of Honour 1939-1945 that is kept just outside the entrance to St George's Chapel at the west end of Westminster Abbey, or on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission's website. The speculates that as there does not seemed to have been a raid on 14 March 1942 at the Victoria Yard that it is possible he died of injuries he suffered from another raid.
