Bill Brandt

Photographer. Born in Hamburg, Germany (although he encouraged the belief that he was born in south London). Moved to London in 1933 and began documenting all levels of society. He became a specialist in the photography of nudes. Died at St Stephen's Hospital, Chelsea.
