Brian Holt

Categories: Cyclist, Tragedy

Brian Holt

Aged 62 Holt had worked as a porter at Mile End Hospital for 40 years. He had been commuting by bike the short journey of about a mile from his Stepney for just over a year in order to get fit.

The collision was at about 4.40pm on the notorious Cycle Superhighway CS2 but did not occur at a junction, the tipper truck simply ran him over from behind.

Horribly, the same construction firm, GF Gordon Plant Hire, killed another cyclist in February 2015.
